LINIE 11 2024-26
Linie 11 is a photographic observation along a central east–west connection in Frankfurt, which plays a key role in the city’s infrastructure. The focus is primarily on the passengers. They are people of different backgrounds, generations, and life realities, whose daily interactions shape the character of this line. For brief moments, they share the same space.
The tram line functions as a social in-between space where strangers encounter one another daily. As part of her own routine, Charlotte Burkhardt engaged with these individuals, asking about their personal experiences related to the tram line. This exchange made both the line and its passengers more tangible and understandable. The project led her to reflect on her own relationship to the line.
